The minivan market is easy to forget, but Honda did not sell over 100,000 Odyssey minivan last year, biting at curing FCA and Chrysler Pacifica. The Interior should be a rather nice one, as Toyota is not afraid of offering a quality Lexus level. Expect better materials in the dashboard, new screens, and Top-of-The-Line safety. Also, some additional convenience features will not hurt, at least on a high-quality model.
The 2020 Honda Odyssey is quite possibly the most blatantly family-oriented vehicle on the road today. The design does not make fashion ventures and this latest generation (introduced in 2018) moves away from the sharper driving dynamics of its predecessor. The Odyssey is unapologetically a minivan: a parenting tool as being dedicated to the job as a BOB or BabyBjorn stroller. It’s about the kid, not the driver.

How Much Price?
Every 2020 Honda Odyssey is equipped with the same engine: a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission with idle Stop is standard on any new Trim for 2020. Gone is a standard that was previously 9-Speed. The economic fuel for each 2020 Odyssey is rated at 19 miles per gallon in the city, 28 MPG on the highway and 22 MPG in a combined driving.
Standard Features & Options
Odyssey offers five levels of Trim: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring and Elite. The basic LX seven seats, while all others have the second line “Magic slide ” Seats with the middle part of the removable up calculate the seat for eight.

The new 25th Anniversary package celebrates a quarter of a century from Odyssey with a chrome accent, a special mix, and available 19-inch wheels. It is purely cosmetic and costs $1,500 or $2,800 if you choose to be available 19-inch wheels.
Each Odyssey is equipped with anti-lock brakes, stability control, front side airbag and 3-row side-curtain airbags. All but basic LX Trim has the Honda driver’s technical sensing assistance suite, which includes advanced-collision warnings and automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and steering assist, blind-spot Monitoring and rear-traffic warning system and automatic high beam beams.
The government gave the Odyssey Top 5-star crash score to the overall, front and side protection. Nonprofit Insurance Institution for highway safety named it Top Safety Select for Best Score – possible in all accident tests plus accident prevention technology and LATCH ease of use. Acceptable light ratings also contribute to the award.
Behind the wheel
The Odyssey used to be the most car like minivan for driving, often compared to the big Accord. It no longer happens, as the latest Odyssey finally focuses on providing a very calm, comfortable and isolating transport experience. The Director, in particular, was light in effort and feedback, and not particularly showed other Hondas. For some, this should be good news, but for others who are looking for a less blatant minivan-like driving experience, competitors may be a better call.
Each Odyssey 2020 has the same engine and transmission. The new Odyssey standard 10-speed automatic transmission feature an impressive well-executed automatic stop/start system. This transmission is used to be available only in High-End Touring and Elite trims and we are delighted to see it as a standard kit on every 2020 Odyssey.
